Watch the First Webinar in ELC’s Series On the Future of Public Education During Trump 2.0: What Do We Do Now? No Vouchers! Public Funds Are For Public Schools!

IIn the first webinar in a three-part series, Education Law Center experts discussed private education vouchers and what to expect during the second Trump administration, as well as concrete steps to take to protect public schools and defend their role as the cornerstone of democracy.

The webinar was moderated by ELC Executive Director Bob Kim and featured Professor Josh Cowen, ELC Visiting Senior Fellow and author of The Privateers: How Billionaires Created a Culture War and Sold School Vouchers, and Jessica Levin, ELC Litigation Director and Director of Public Funds Public Schools.

If you missed the live event, you can watch the recording here.

ELC’s Public Funds Public Schools campaign was at the forefront of the fight during Trump 1.0 (including beating back Betsy DeVos’s attempt to divert $1 billion of Covid relief funding to private schools), and we’ll do the same in 2025. Watch this webinar to learn more about the new landscape and specific tools and steps you can take now and in the future to protect public funding for public education.
