ELC Webinar on Oklahoma Religious Charter School Decision: Recording Now Available!

On August 1, Education Law Center and co-sponsors hosted Religious Charter School Declared Unconstitutional: A Webinar on the Oklahoma Supreme Court’s Recent Ruling. Panelists analyzed the historic Oklahoma Supreme Court decision and discussed implications for Oklahoma and the nation.

The webinar featured Misty Bradley, Oklahoma Parent Legislative Action Committee (OKPLAC); Sarah Taitz, Americans United for Separation of Church and State; Renita Thukral, National Alliance for Public Charter Schools; and Prof. Kevin Welner, University of Colorado-Boulder/National Education Policy Center. The event was moderated by Education Law Center Executive Director Robert Kim.

In opening the event, Mr. Kim noted that the litigation challenging the religious charter school “raises numerous and profound issues impacting law, policy, education, and democracy writ large.”
